Hats Off Women

Its been a while since i wrote on this blog, i need to go back to my first love-writing. By the way  i used to write passionately, what happened? I think social media happened, Kilimani mums happened, or is it Kilimani MWK zone or Kilimani Udaku zone? These groups are quite something, i thank God im no longer in them. How do the admins profit? Maybe they benefit by giving people a platform to rant and pour out their issues under a pseudo account. Have come to learn through this kind of groups that people are going through a lot and they need somewhere they can bring all the cares and burdens they are carrying. Have also learned that people also get genuine answers through this groups from strangers. A certain day a woman was in trouble, she was actually facing violence from her husband and these women rescued her, thats a positive thing that came out of these women groups, other than the gossip that happens everyday. Anyway this article is about women and the many roles they have. Women have so many tittles, a woman can be so many things at the same time. Women are  mothers, wife's, daughters, grandmother,  sisters, cousins, employers, employees, friend, student, entrepreneurs, some have side hustles, some are pastors wife's, some are in ministry heading departments, some are bosses, others are in different positions in either a chama or a welfare association among other tittles.
Women wear all these hats and they do so many things, go through so many things as well, such as cramping during their monthly periods, going through labour pain, having to deal with cruel bosses, (not all bosses are cruel though) but imagine a new mum who had a sleepless night because the baby had  colic and she didn't know what to do and stayed awake all night trying rock the baby to sleep, then tries to catch up with sleep at around four and woke up at 6 to beat the traffic jam to reach the office and then in the office she has to deal with a cruel boss and not to mention that she is cramping and also worried about  the baby who couldn't sleep the whole night and these woman still can afford a smile. This woman is a hero. Hats off to her.

Women are a great species because amid all these hats they wear they are still doing many things in the society.  My big question to women is, when you remove all the hats you wear, who are you? Do you have worries or do you act strong for your family or for your children as many say? Some women stay in abusive marriages because of the children or because they fear to be judged. Women are judged so harshly in the society. Some women especially the young generation try so much to act as if everything is okay and hide in dressing well or if you like slaying yet in their hearts they have esteem issues, they are fighting so many battles. Dear fellow woman, who are you when all the hats are off? No one is perfect, no one is without problems and no one of us has it all together. We are imperfect beings loved by a perfect God. Remove the hat and cast all the burdens and cares to God. Thats who you are when all the hats are off. God wants you to come to
Him with your hat off because to Him you are His precious Child.
Ask God to walk with you in all areas of your life, give Him your hand to walk you through motherhood, as a wife, student, sister, a friend, in business, in your work place, in your ministry among other things that you do. If you do so, you will be able to find yourself or who you truly are even with the hats off and  without your tittles.

Dear woman, start by praying and depending fully to the one who created you-God. Uplift your fellow woman in prayer, Offer them your hand, stop competing with your fellow woman, stop Gossiping or putting your fellow woman down.  Be a source of encouragement to your fellow woman. Lets keep our eyes as women fully lifted on God, and He will lead us and walk with us. These Book (The power of a praying woman) is very powerful especially for a woman who wears so many hats. Read it.

RING DAY...#ISaidYES

RING DAY….#ISaidYes

JJ Its Wednesday 10-02-2016 and as usual I go to work and always look forward to go home early so that I can freshen up and join my safari group bible study members at the Loresho springs Estate.  So this particular day I am not able to leave the office early because a very good friend wants my assistance of a charger since we share the same chargers which are very rare in the office…yes we use a very mean kind of a phone which you cant just borrow a charger from anyone. So I spend like an hour or so charging my friends phone so that I can go home. As I wait for the phone to charge i get a call from a very close friend actually a friend who has become a sister and she tells me that she is near our office meeting a client and she asks me if we can go home together…I said yes.  So the time to go home comes and off we go and as a tradition in Nairobi the traffic jam starts to build up at around 4 but we are little bit lucky because our route is not very bad when it comes to traffic jam but that particular day there was a lot of traffic jam. A tree fell across the road killing 14 people in a Nissan matatu. This caused a lot of traffic which made us spend almost one hour and half  to get home. My friend-sister is my neighbor and we go to the same bible study.  We got home and went separate ways but she told me not to get late for the bible study.
I got home and I started having many ideas of food J and I couldn’t make a decision of what to prepare for dinner but eventually I settled on a particular meal. Too many details by the way….my point and focus was bible study but at this time I had decided not go coz I just wanted to stay at home and watch a movie. Talk of having misplaced priorities and I am the worship leader of our Bible study. So I pick up my phone to text BS members to say that I wont make it but hey who is calling! Our BS group leader  huh.  Any way I talk to him and he asks me to go coz they were waiting for me to lead the worship.  The spirit of God quickens and tells me my daughter my people are waiting for you to lead worship…they need your ministry.
All these time I did not even suspect anything…now here is the real story hahaha they (Mr.man, some of my friends and BS group members) had a plan which I had no clue about.
The study was about ‘discerning Gods open doors’ which took us two hours to complete i.e from 7-9pm. In those two hours my friends were locked up in one of the hosts bedroom and mr man had decided to give the ring and I wasn’t aware, so he had called my friends to help him surprise me with the proposal.

My friend Faith trying to help me stop hiding

So at the end of the study we prayed and the guy who was asked to pray  took his  good time but as we prayed I could hear some commotions which were unnecessary. Thank God I did not open my eyes coz I was really in the spirit praying in agreement with the person leading the prayers. Upon saying Amen…I heard a very strong and lovely  voice of the man that I love so much, I man who I had tried contacting during the day but he was not answering me, the man who God saw it right in His eyes to give me as the Truest gift, I heard him and I saw him…I was lost for words and I knew that my guy has come to ask the big question. I wanted to run away but I couldn’t though I found myself hiding behind a sofa pillow. His voice was so strong and it kept coming towards where I was hiding. I gained some courage and I was able to face him though I was still blushing a lot.

Down on his one knee he went and he asked me if I would marry Him and after few minutes of blushing I said YES to my best friend, to my prayer partner, to my devotions partner, travelling partner, to the most handsome and loving man on planet earth David Wafula J. I got the engagement ring and fellow brethren prayed for us and wished us the best in our life.  For once people surprised me. That was an answered prayer because I'm rarely surprised. I now have a ring which I thank God for and getting prepared to become a future Mrs.

Future Mrs :-)

With this ring, may i honour God in all my ways

The Lord has been good to me and to Him be the Honor and Glory. With this ring that I have, I will honor Him and bring Glory to Him alone because its all about Him. I cant wait to see what is in store for us (JAVID meaning Jacque and David) because its soo clear that He has brought us together for an assignment which I can only pray that the Lord prepares us well enough as we go the ends of the earth to represent His kingdom. 1 Corinthians 2:9 "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man,the things which God has prepared for those who love Him"  My prayer is that through us, people will be influenced to the knowledge of God and impacted for His glory and Honor.  Amen
My dear brothers and sisters, if you are waiting on God for a spouse, do not get tired, keep on praying and as you wait on Him to bring that special person your way, serve Him delightfully. Matthew 6:33 says that we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto us. He is the one who puts all desires in our hearts and He will always give unto us those desires if we trust in Him. Psalms 37:4. May the Lord continue blessing you as you wait on Him because i know very well that He will make all things beautiful in His time. bless you

Bye for now...i have not forgotten about the blog i had promised to write about him.

WHATS IN A NAME??

WHATS IN A NAME??
What’s in a name, really? I mean, Words have meaning and names have power. Have you ever asked yourself what’s the meaning of your sweet name???? Coz every name is real and that's the nature of names. Do you know that people’s fates are simplified by their names?  now you know!!!  David S. Slawson once said that Names are an important key to what a society values.  Anthropologists recognize naming as 'one of the chief methods for imposing order on perception.'  By the way what’s in a name? As William Shakespeare  would put it What's in a name, that which if we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. So what’s really in a name? …my name is Jacqueline and I understand it’s of a French origin. It’s the feminine form of Jacques which originated from the name Jacob. Jacob is a Hebrew name which means God protect or supplanter. Supplanter refers to a person who replaces someone or a thing of lesser value! (Mmmmh if you read the story of Jacob and Esau in the bible you will understand what I mean). Genesis chapter 25&26. Jacqueline is a very popular female first name used in many countries.
According to studies here are some of the findings I came across during my research about the name Jacqueline though I am not sure about them but some of the findings march with the people I know who own this name. I tried comparing the finding with some of my pics as Jacque, have a look :)
1.       A curvy girl who is extremely hot.

2.       Doesn't go out with men often because of self-confidence and pride. Not like most girls who have had 5 boyfriends in a three month period.

3.      Good fashion sense and a pretty unique face is usually a quality of a girl with this name, most girls of this origin could be models. Na siringi!
posing like a model:)

4.       Very Seductive, they usually look mean from first glance but they love to have fun and laugh. True story!

"if im not laughing im sleeping"

5.      If you ever come in contact or know a Jacqueline then you’re lucky, even though no matter how hard you try, you will NEVER get one in your bed. Extremely rare.

6.       They're a good species to chase, and love the game. They know the mind of men, so be prepared to have A woman who know all your secrets, which makes it even harder to pin down. :P

7.      They're very independent and although it may look like they dont get attention from guys, it's because they put off an ora that basically sends a signal to guys that she's not about to be played and isn't easy, that's usually when guys back off.

8.     They don't like gossiping preppy girls, although they will probably be associated with that group, they will most likely turn the tables.

9.      Not like most girls, Jacqueline's usually like sports, and guy things, but they also have a very feminine side when they want to. See! No wonder most of you think im a tomboy!
warming up for a football match!

it feels good to act a tomboy
10.  The very rare ones are accustomed to fame and famous people. But do I say? Research  said it!

With Dr.Mich!

11.   They're exquisite and very hard to find and, if you know one start chasing. Once they realize you are, your in for a good time. Tihihi  its research si mimi!

12.  An awesome person, good all around. They are very good at giving advice and are always there. Its so true..woi I was even thinking of becoming a marriage counselor.

13.  Jacquelines are trustworthy and kind, being great friend material. Ask my friends about this! And I bet this Is what they wil tell you! she is SUCH a Jacqueline! She's so kind!
14.  One who is glorious and funOften outgoing and insanely funny. Can be quite blunt, made for the stage, and loyal.aka: perfect

Enough of self praise….but ask yourself, What does you name really say about you?? It does matter what it says! Don’t let your name define you.  Your character talks more about who you really are. There is a Proverb that says, From our ancestors come our names, but from our virtues our honors.  Make the world a better place by upholding the awesomest virtues you can have  in your life… Because “Good men must die, but death cannot kill their names..  ~Proverb. Be good for your name to remain on the lips of people. #okbye

JOY COMES IN THE MORNING

I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of rain falling on my roof in the background casting crowns singing softly “ and once again I say AMEN and it’s still raining” I say Amen but I have not the slightest idea where I am, I have panicked, cried, shrieked, believed, dreamt and trusted. Yes I know and I have faith that I am not alone yet I am in despair my heart is conjoined to fear and my mind is but empty, Inside I go delving deeper and it’s scary I want to quit yet I get deeper and deeper I know within my soul that there’s light shining yet my eyes cannot see.
I been here for only forty minutes I check the clock but it feels like 4years Oh God I gasp I woke up too soon, the cock wouldn’t crow, sunshine wouldn’t flood already yes the light is on but it’s the moon’s light. Oh yes I know that its dawn and the day is breaking out yet it feels like it will never be and so I chant, I pray, I wail, I ask and seek, I hold onto the blankets I am crazy, going insane I am screaming at this hell of a world why wouldn’t morning come Oh God where are you Can’t you hear me?  Of course I know you do but God why so slow? Then I drift to sleep and I have a dream and in that dream is the most beautiful life ever, I am at the brink of my success surrounded by the people I love, I am ministering to nations, singing my heart out, signing books and speaking words of encouragement, I am going places in love, filled with so much joy and the angels are with me in every step of the way oh my name is shining in lights and I am very happy then the alarm strikes and its six o’clock in the morning, How amazing ! I rejoice for finally the light is here, what a long night that was I never thought morning would reach. Thank you Lord!
